At Day's Karate School, we believe that children can attain extremely high levels of Coordination, balance, agility, and strength, in relation to their size, if trained in a Disciplined and rigorous atmosphere. While State Law requires that a child be instructed in physical education two times per week for fifty minutes in duration, much of this time is not spent on rigorous physical training and it is becoming increasingly hard for many reasons for the average child to receive a well rounded physical education in the public school system. Children with deficiencies in coordination, flexibility, balance, and other components of physical fitness, need supplemental training in a well structured, no nonsense atmosphere to overcome their deficiencies. Authentic Martial Arts training offers this type of developmental training in all the components of physical fitness with the added benefit of being able to defend yourself. It is a well know fact that children who are athletic develop a healthier self image of themselves and the self confidence to more assertive in all aspects of their lives.
